I got curious through an art customer of mine as to what a Blythe doll was. I few months later:
This Beauty arrived in the mail. What excitement and anticipation. And rather than disapointment: incredible satisfaction and joy to see this japanese toy truly well made, of weight and beauty and quality.
This started a new playing time at mid life for me : my creativity and imagination.

Visualizing

It is natural that as a visual artist this is all you do. One is completely right brain. After being hipnotized by the news i have now decided to throw myself in the Rabbit Hole. Please come and see my new Alice work. This excersise is fantastic in that you can return to "real life" full focus and full force. On that note i have been seeing a bright light of comfort over the people of Haiti and i do this often through my day. Rather than visualize what the media feeds me.

I hope i can feed your soul a moment of joy through my work.

New FRost

The cold spell is here and the ground has frozen. But the sun has been very bright. something very unusual for our island winters.

We greatly appreciate the light. Any light. On that note we just finished putting the christmas lights outside. The weather here is maritime so i hope they survive the winds. I did not have regular christmas lights but rather colorful outdoor chinese lanterns. i think they are enough to get us into the Festive mood of Christmas. Since everything is so moist on coastal environments we have not gotten snow yet but the frost makes everything beautifully white and quiet.
